A well-meaning but inept doctor gave me hydrocodone for migraine. It didn't reduce the pain and kept me awake; I threw up the 2nd one I took.

Hydrocodone is my "collapse" drug. When I have toughed out a migraine all day, when meds. haven't helped and it won't stop, I come home and take it and go to bed. I do get itchy feelings, usually on my face but don't mind because the sleepiness and relaxation are worth any itchiness. I do suspect it causes rebound though if used too often.

Makes me itchy in strange places and do not like to use narcotics unless I absolutely have to.

Works for really bad headaches. Kind of a 'last resort' drug for me, but will cause rebound headaches if used too frequently.

Narcotics really should be the last option for a migraine. Cause rebound headaches.

Oh, yes, give me drugs! If you can't have fun making fun of this disease. . .what can you do? I've moved beyond hydrocodone now, but when I took it it was working. It was more for tension type migraines and less full blown Imitrex needing migraines. It seemed like I started to have some sort of allergy to it because I started getting a heaving chest and difficulty breathing. Took it as Vicodin and Vicoprofen. Vicodin wasn't as effective because it was Tylenol.

It really helps with the pain, but the sleepiness and general narcotic effects prevent you from being too productive
