I have had DHE IV's many times in combo with Zofran which helps alleviate the stomach issues. Initially, it makes it a little worse but not as bad a triptans, but within several hours I feel better.

I give myself a shot when I first feel the migraine symptoms. It will either alleviate the pain completely or make it more tolerable. There are some digestive side effects, but they are mild compared to migraine pain.

first time I had IV in the hosp, it worked well. then I had nasal at home, it was awful, ended up back in the hosp; gave it to me again, and had adverse reaction to it, made the migraine worse than the previous. because of hemiplegic migraines, I'm told I shouldn't have had Dhe
